When the kids are little, a large part of the time is spent teaching new things, or celebrating milestones accomplished.
Although I make it a point to rejoice in those things, often my memory is such that soon after, I might forget the details within the event.
On Sunday, Phoenix tied his shoes by himself for the first time. I was actually napping on the couch, after a busy mother's day weekend, when he shouted, I opened my eyes, expecting something terrible, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear, and see, his sneakers tied correctly!

Yesterday I had a great country adventure.
After seeing a sign last week that said "Fresh Brown Eggs -- Drive In" , I made a mental note to return as soon as I could. Yesterday was that day.
After both boys were in school, we drove about a mile down this quiet road, passing nice spacious properties, with barns, horses and other such things.
